Since the birth of Louise Brown in July 1978, eight million babies have been born with the help of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and other assisted reproductive technologies (ART), a report from the International Committee Monitoring Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ICMART) estimated. The committee presented its results Tuesday at the 34th annual Meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) in Barcelona, Spain.
Seit der Geburt von Louise Brown im Juli 1978 sind weltweit mehr als acht Millionen Babys nach einer Fruchtbarkeitsbehandlung geboren worden. Das ergab eine Auswertung des International Committee Monitoring Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ICMART), die beim Jahreskongress der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Reproduktionsmedizin und Embryologie (ESHRE) in Barcelona vorgestellt wurde.
